Nuxt follows Semantic Versioning. The roadmap plans for a major release every year, with an expectation of patch releases every week or so and minor releases every month or so. Each major version is supported for a minimum of six months after the release of the next major version, and upgrade paths are guaranteed between every consecutive major release.

Minor and Patch releases should never contain breaking changes except for features marked as experimental. Maintenance Support includes bug and security fixes.

All supported versions should run on all currently supported Node.js releases.

Commercial security support for Nuxt 2 is available through the HeroDevs Never-Ending Support initiative. For more information, see Nuxt v2 docs.

More information is available on the Nuxt website.

You should be running one of the supported release numbers listed above in the rightmost column.
